Impersonator imitates LMRA CEO on Twitter

Twitter user posing as Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) CEO Ausamah Al Absi’s had been making malicious statements online.

The account which goes by a similar name, @Ausama_Alabsi only lacked the letter ‘h’ from the original name.  The account made many tweets that were on Mr. Absi’s real account. In some cases, it had even taunted individuals. Continue reading

90% satisfied with LMRA’s services: EY survey

Ninety per cent of participants in a survey stated that they were satisfied with the level of services provided by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA).

The survey was conducted by Ernst and Young and included over 2,000 clients using the LMRA. These were from among a cross section of Bahrain’s businesses ranging from SME’s, Government organisation to businesses in the private sector. Continue reading

LMRA Opens new office at airport

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Chief Executive Ausamah Al Absi on Saturday inaugurated its new office at the Bahrain International Airport.

The new office will help finalising visa procedures for expatriate workers at the airport on arrival.

The LMRA had launched its excellent electronic system in 2007 which facilitates its services for employers and manpower agencies by entering data to obtain feedback and easy processing for the best interest of citizens and migrant workers.

“Employers and processing and clearance agencies can finalise the whole process of an application from A to Z from the comfort of their office or at home and obtain migrant workers’ labour permits within ten days through system, Mr.Al Absi said.

“The system features speedy and easy services which is an added value to the Kingdom’s eGovernment services in terms of transparency, creativity and competitiveness,“ he added.
