The Chief Executive Officer of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, Ausamah Abdullah Al-Absi, highlighted the Kingdom’s maintenance of its Tier 1 Status in the 2019 US Department of State Trafficking in Persons (TiP) Report, a major historic achievement which builds on the Kingdom’s inclusion as a Tier 1 country in the 2018 TiP Report, the first time a MENA region country was granted this honour. New Domestic Employees System Announcement

LMRA notifies the citizens and residents to complete the domestic workers permit procedures before the 12th March 2019, where LMRA will stop receiving new applications prior to the launch of the new system on 17th March 2019.

LMRA to inaugurate new domestic helpers system

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) will inaugurate in March the new domestic helpers system which will offer new services for citizens and the beneficiaries. Accordingly, applications for recruitment and the issuance of domestic helpers permits will take place electronically through one of the accredited domestic helpers agencies. Three operations will be combined into one and the beneficiary will have the possibility to issue or renew the worker’s permit optionally for one or two years. Continue reading
