LMRA Conducts Joint Inspection Campaign in Northern Governorate

As part of the ongoing efforts exerted to combat illegal practices
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted an inspection campaign which targeted a number of work sites in the Northern Governorate. The campaign was held in coordinated with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs of the Ministry of Interior.

The campaign resulted in issuing several offences related to violations of LMRA and Immigration laws, and necessary legal measures were taken. These campaigns are a reflection of the ongoing efforts exerted by LMRA and MOI to enhance and safeguard the work environment.

The operation also aimed to address LMRA’s close monitoring of practices that affect the competitiveness, flexibility and fairness of the labour market, and its role to assess their negative impact on social security.

LMRA stresses the pivotal role of the community in supporting the government’s efforts in preserving economic, health, and social security and stability.

Additionally, the public has been urged to report any labour market violations and irregular migrant workers by contacting LMRA Call Center on 17506055.
