Labour Market Regulatory Authority intensifies inspection campaigns and arrests a number of violators from employers and workers in cooperation with NPRA and the Capital Governorate Directorate

(LMRA), represented by the Legal Control Sector, carried out a joint inspection campaign as an continuous enforcement practices ongoing throughout the year, which resulted of arresting violators from employers and workers in the Capital Governorate in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs of the Ministry of Interior and the Capital Governorate Police Directorate that included a number of work sites in the Capital Governorate.

LMRA pointed out that this campaign comes within the framework of an ongoing action plan developed in cooperation with the concerned authorities to intensify inspection campaigns and tighten dealing with violators from employers and workers in a way that contributes to the continuation efforts to regulate the labor market in eliminating the irregular employment.

The campaign, which was carried out by LMRA in the capital, resulted in the seizure of a number of violations related to the provisions of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority Law and the Residence Law in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and arrest of a number of violators of the laws and regulations, and proceeding with the legal action following.

The Authority pointed out its keenness to continue comprehensive joint campaigns with various government bodies throughout the year and in various governorates of the Kingdom, believing in the principle of integration between the various relevant authorities to develop the work environment and resolutely address all illegal practices that would affect the competitiveness, fairness and flexibility of the labor market, in addition to their negative effects on social security.
