US Congress delegation visits expatriate labour shelter centre

A delegation from the US Congress paid a visit to a shelter centre to protect expatriate workers from human trafficking dangers, in the presence of Head of the National Anti-Human Trafficking Committee and President of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Ausamah bin Abdullah Al Absi.

The American delegation lauded the efforts of LMRA to provide every care for the expatriate labour force and protect their rights. He also praised the efforts to combat human trafficking and develop its monitoring methods.

On his part, Al Absi briefed the US delegation on LMRA efforts to tackle the problem of free visa workers and human trafficking. He also highlighted the goals and services of the shelter centre.
