Employment among Bahrainis increased during the height of the unrest, according to a new report from the kingdom’s Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA).A total of 141,263 were in work between January and April, an increase of 2.1 per cent compared with the same period last year, figures released by LMRA show. Labour Minister Jameel Humaidan said 99 per cent employers in the Kingdom adhered to the afternoon work ban this year. He said the percentage has increased by 1pc from 98 last year.The minister said the result was achieved because of the cooperation that existed between the ministry and contractors for the past four years.
