Illegal migrants urged to comply with amnesty

Manama Illegal migrant workers are being urged to benefit from the amnesty and regulate their situation or leave Bahrain without penalties.The Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow Up at the Nationality, Passport and Residence (NPRA) called upon the migrant community to comply with grace period so as bring their situation in line with the law.

In a statement issued yesterday, he said that the NPRA has allocated employees and offices to facilitate the paperwork procedures. Continue reading

LMRA Gives Amnesty to Illegal Workers to correct their presence

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority announced today that an amnesty period will commence on July 1st for six months aimed at allowing illegal workers to either legalize their presence in Bahrain through obtaining legal gainful employment or by leaving back to their countries without penalties or “Black Listing” which will allow all workers who choose to leave Bahrain during the amnesty period to return at any future date to Bahrain without obstacles. LMRA Appoints 19 new inspectors

Nineteen new inspectors have joined the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) as Judicial Officers.
Following the directives of the Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the newlyrecruited officials will contribute in detecting and controlling the increasing illegal employment phenomenon. Continue reading
