LMRA Appoints 19 new inspectors

Nineteen new inspectors have joined the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) as Judicial Officers.
Following the directives of the Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the newlyrecruited officials will contribute in detecting and controlling the increasing illegal employment phenomenon.

LMRA Chief Executive Officer Ausamah Al Absi stated that the new staff includes Bahrain’s top legal and administrative personnel, who have

been trained to the highest standards in their fields, praising the mutual cooperation between the authorities concerned, in order to achieve a unified goal of a better future for the Kingdom.
On a related matter, a tripartite meeting was held between the Public Prosecution, Interior

Ministry and the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs Directorate (NPRA), wherein the three government agencies discussed ways to curb the illegal employment situation in the Kingdom and the establishment of a shelter to accommodate 300 illegal workers while deportation procedures for them are being processed.
