LMRA calls on businesses, companies, and individuals who engage in the activity of “Manpower Agencies” in any form and under any name such as providing temporary domestic employees by the hour or providing cleaners for homes by the hour, or providing caregivers and nurses or others without obtaining a “Manpower Agency” license from the LMRA to stop immediately and rectify their position in accordance with the provisions of Article (28) of Law No. (19) of 2006, and the ordinance regulating this license No. (3) for the year 2014 regarding the regulation of licenses for manpower agencies and the procedures in force at the authority, to avoid legal accountability. Labor Regulatory Authority launches talent portal to connect job seekers, employers

Manama, June 7 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has launched a portal to connect job seekers and private sector institutions and companies. Expat workers soar by 19%

A FOREIGN recruitment drive saw Bahraini firms employ more expats than ever during the 12 months leading up to the end of March, according to new figures released by the government.

A total of 71,000 foreign workers were hired since March last year, swelling the country’s expat workforce by 18.8 per cent.

Expats accounted for around two-thirds of Bahrain’s workforce by the end of the first quarter of this year.

Employment rate rises 10.5 per cent

MANAMA: Employment in Bahrain shot up by 10.5 per cent during the third quarter of this year, it was revealed yesterday.

Most of the jobs went to expatriates, with Bahraini employment up by 3.5pc, compared to a 4.1pc growth in the previous quarter, said the report published in the Bahraini Labour Market newsletter.
