Maid contracts bill approved
A DRAFT law that outlines job contracts for domestic workers has been approved by parliament.
The bill, proposed by Al Asala Parliamentary Bloc, organises the relationship between employers and housemaids, and mentions criteria for contracts and punishments for breach of contract. Continue reading

In line with the wise directives of the government to provide further facilities to the business community the Labour Market Regulatory Authority LMRA announces the provision of the Installment facility for the payment of overdue LMRA fees.
Those wishing to avail this facility are requested to visit the collections department at the LMRA Office No 16 on the first floor from 7:30 am to 2 pm.
