MANAMA: The policy of pro-rata Bahrainisation imposed on industrial and trade sectors is to be reconsidered.
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) is conducting a specialised study focusing on each sector. It plans to pay a series of field visits to assess the needs of each for foreign workers. Bahrain companies will be exempted from paying fees to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) until the end of this year. The Cabinet yesterday decided to extend the grace period till December. Payments of LMRA fees were frozen last April.
Labour Market Regulatory Authority intends to re-launch its business to satisfy all clients’ needs and enhance its achievements, Labour Minister and LMRA president Jameel Humaidan said yesterday.This came as he met LMRA senior management in the presence of chief executive Osama bin Abdulla Al Isa.
