The Expat Protection Centre at the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted a training workshop for hotline frontliners. The workshop, held at EPC, focused on equipping personnel operating both the LMRA’s hotline (995) and the Ministry of Interior’s hotline (555) with the skills and capacity needed to identify and support victims of trafficking.
The workshop delved into the identification of potential victims through hotline interactions, as well as reinforcing knowledge on referral mechanisms to ensure victims receive appropriate assistance and support.
This initiative underscores the sustainability of efforts in combatting trafficking in persons, in light with the everchanging nature of the crime and labour market, recognizing the critical role played by first responders in protecting vulnerable individuals.
