LMRA Launches a Virtual Client Services Branch for Employers

Process Re-engineering and Optimizing the use of Technology.
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has announced the soft launch of its Virtual Client Services Branch for Employers which comes as part of LMRA’s strategic plans to enhance its services by re-engineering processes and optimizing the use of technologies, in line with the government’s aspirations to accelerate digital transformation across government services.

The Virtual branch will initially provide 4 services including: work permit renewal; work permit cancelation; updating address of workers, and general inquiries about LMRA services.

His Excellency Nibras Talib the CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority stated that the Authority is proceeding with its comprehensive upgrade of the services offered and is keen to expand its virtual services in order to provide clients and employers with easier access to high quality, faster and efficient services as well as enable LMRA to better evaluate the performance of the services it provides.

The CEO added that the launch of the Virtual Client Services Branch follows the successful launch of the Remote Virtual Inspection Service, with more online services being planned to be launched in the future.

For his part, the Deputy CEO for Operations and Services Mr. Ahmed Al Arabi stated that the launch of the Virtual Client Services branch for Employers aims to improve the quality of the services provided and garner a higher percentage of client satisfaction.

He added that virtual services contribute to facilitating the accessibility to services which reduces the need to visit the LMRA’S offices personally, as well as improving the quality and speed of services provided.

He pointed out that employers can avail the virtual services by booking an appointment through LMRA’s website, in which they will be prompted to select the required service and provide the required information, after which a dedicated client Services agents will contact them to complete the transaction without having to visit LMRA’s premises.

 On a related note, LMRA confirmed the continuation of providing its services to employers regularly through its 4 centres in various governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain: Sanabis and Mina Salman branches operate from Sunday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 5 pm, while the branches in Seef Mall-Arad in Muharraq Governorate and Riffa branch in Al-Buhair operate from Sunday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 5 pm, as well as Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.
