LMRA Conducts 5 Inspection Campaigns and Reports 85 Violations Related to the Labour Market and Residency Laws and Refers them for Legal Action

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted five joint inspection campaigns across all the Governorates, which resulted in reporting 85 violations related to the Labour Market and Residency laws. The cases were referred for legal action.

LMRA noted two joint inspection campaigns were conducted in the Capital Governorate, where the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), the Sentence Enforcement Department, the Civil Defense, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Ministry of Tourism jointly contributed to the inspection efforts.
The third inspection campaign was undertaken in the Muharraq Governorate in coordination with the Ministry of Labor (MOL), while the fourth and fifth campaigns took place in the Northern and Southern Governorates both were conducted in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA).
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority renewed its call on all members of the society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labour practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.gov.bh or by calling the authority’s call centre on 17506055.
