H.E. Mr. Nibras Talib, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, received at his office H.E. Ms. Anne Jalando-On Louis, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The CEO discussed with the Philippines Ambassador the bilateral relations and issues related to the labour market, noting the importance of the cooperation between government agencies and diplomatic missions to raise awareness amongst expatriate workers of their rights and duties and the importance of adhering to the regulations and laws in the Kingdom.
During the meeting, the LMRA CEO highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to maintain a suitable work environment that enjoys stability, justice, and fairness for all parties, pointing to the launch of a number of initiatives in this regard, most notably the labour registration system, the optional insurance system for domestic workers, as well as the wage protection system.
