The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) affirmed its commitment to strengthen regulation by intensifying efforts and procedures to address illegal practices in the labour market in various governorates of the Kingdom.
The Authority announced that it conducted 5 joint inspection campaigns. The two joint inspection campaigns were carried out in the Capital and Southern Governorates in coordination with the General Directorate for Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence, while the third campaign was undertaken in Northern Governorate in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and the Governorate’s Police Directorate.
LMRA also stated that the fourth inspection campaign was conducted in coordination with the Sentence Enforcement Directorate in Southern Governorate and the fifth campaign was coordinated with the Social Insurance Organization (SIO) in the Muharraq Governorate.
LMRA renewed its call to all members of the society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labour practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.gov.bh or by calling the authority’s call centre on 17506055.
