LMRA Conducts 5 Joint inspection Campaigns in the Capital, Muharraq, and Southern Governorates

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the Ministry of Interior and the Social Insurance Organization (SIO) continue their joint efforts to intensify inspection campaigns against illegal practices in the Labour Market, in order to preserve a competitive, fair, and stable labour market.

LMRA announced it had conducted five joint inspection campaigns resulted in reporting violations related to the Labour Market and Residency laws. The cases were referred for legal action.

Three joint inspection campaigns were conducted in the Capital Governorate, The First campaign was undertaken in coordination with the Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and the Governorate’s Police Directorate, the second campaign was conducted in coordination with the Sentence Enforcement Directorate at the Ministry of Interior. The third campaign was carried out in coordination with the Social Insurance Organization (SIO).

LMRA also conducted 2 inspection campaigns in the Muharraq and Southern Governorates in coordination with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Evidence of the Ministry of Interior.

LMRA renewed its call to all members of the society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labour practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.gov.bh or by calling the authority’s call centre on 17506055.
