LMRA CEO Receives the Ethiopian Consul General in the Kingdom

Her Excellency Nouf Abdulrahman Jamsheer, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee for Combatting Trafficking in Persons, received at the Authority’s headquarters, His Excellency Ambassador Shiferaw Jena, Consul General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Mrs. Jamsheer congratulated Mr. Shiferaw Jena on the occasion of starting his tenure as Consul General in the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishing him success in performing his duties, stressing the importance of the role played by diplomatic missions in cooperating with government agencies to raise the awareness of expatriate workers about their rights and duties and the regulations and laws that organize employment.

Her Excellency discussed with the Ethiopian consul prospects for wider cooperation, stressing the Kingdom’s commitment to preserve the work environment and maintain stable contractual relations between the worker and the employer, highlighting the implementation of a number of initiatives that contribute to enhancing the work environment, including the labor registration system, the optional insurance system for domestic workers, and the wage protection system.
