LMRA Reports 32 Violations in a Construction Site in Southern Governorate

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) took legal action against 32 individuals for violating the provisions of the Labour Market Law in a construction site in the Southern Governorate, after receiving a tip through LMRA’s comments and complaints designated electronic communication channels.

The authority formed a joint inspection unit in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs at the Ministry of Interior and the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, to visit the facility as part of an inspection campaign in accordance with the set procedures.

LMRA stressed its commitment to continue to reinforce the law against violators by intensifying inspection campaigns on commercial establishments, work sites and labour gathering sites, in order to combat illegal labour practices, while preserving the rights of employers and expatriate employees.

It highlighted the active involvement of citizens and residents by reporting any violations related to the labour market using the direct communication channels designated for this matter.

It renewed its call on all members of the society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing these illegal practices, through filling out the electronic form on LMRA’s official website or by calling the Authority’s call center on 17506055.
