Within the framework of the action plan to intensify campaigns and eliminate illegal labour
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted a joint inspection campaign in the Muharraq Governorate, in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs of the Ministry of Interior and the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate.
The inspection campaign resulted in the detection of a series of violations related to LMRA Law and the Residence Law in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Necessary legal measures have been taken against offenders, in accordance with the legal procedures followed.
The LMRA affirmed that the campaign comes within the intensive and continuous action plan developed by the Authority to ensure the stability and regulation of the labour market, and to combat illegal labour practices by holding violators accountable, to preserve worker rights and the fairness, flexibility, and competitiveness of the labour market.
LMRA reiterated the importance of the role of the community in supporting the government’s efforts to address any violations related to the labour market. It called on the public to report any complaints related to violations of the labour market by contacting the LMRA Call Centre 17506055.
