LMRA CEO receives Indian ambassador

Manama, Apr. 11 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA)’s CEO and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, H.E Mr. Jamal Abdulaziz AlAlawi, received the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, Piyush Shrivastav.

 

The CEO discussed the latest developments in the situation of investors and businessmen and the facilities provided to ease their work in the Kingdom.

He highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to raise the level of the work environment and protect work parties, noting the important role played by diplomatic missions in cooperation with government agencies to strengthen bilateral relations.

AlAlawi reviewed the conditions of Indian workers in Bahrain, referring to the efforts made by the Kingdom to develop laws and legislation that contribute to maintaining an appropriate work environment that provides protection for the worker while preserving the rights of the employer, praising the great role played by Indian workers in various fields.

The ambassador praised the care given by LMRA to all workers, hailing the regulations and laws as well as the facilities provided to investors, businessmen and workers, stressing the keenness of his country’s to cooperate with the authority.

The two sides agreed to enhance joint work regarding the labor market and to activate bilateral committees and specialized technical work teams.
