Foreign Minister Receives LMRA Chief Executive

Manama, July 7 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received today Chief Executive of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), H.E Mr.  Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi.

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister welcomed Mr. Al Alawi, congratulating him on the royal trust bestowed upon him through appointing him as Chief Executive of LMRA, wishing him success in his duties. He also hailed the good efforts exerted by LMRA in following up the regulation of the labour market and the protection of labour rights in a way that promotes the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom and achieves the Kingdom’s goals in accordance with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. He noted Bahrain’s maintenance of its Tier 1 status for the fourth consecutive year in the US State Department’s 2021 report on Trafficking in Persons (TIP).

For his part, the LMRA Chief Executive expressed his thanks to the Foreign Minister, noting the effective cooperation between the Foreign Ministry and LMRA. He lauded the ministry’s prominent role in following up the human rights issue with high efficiency, and promoting the achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain in all international events and forums. He also stressed LMRA’s efforts in combating trafficking in persons, pointing out cooperation of the various government agencies. He underlined the authority’s determination to continue supporting channels of communication and cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue achieving these distinguished accomplishments.
