Manama, June 28 (BNA): Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA)’s CEO H.E Mr. Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi received Philippines Ambassador to Bahrain Alfonso Ferrer.

The meeting reviewed the strong relations between the two countries, discussed ways to develop them in the labor field, in addition to the situation of Filipino workers in Bahrain.

The CEO affirmed the keenness of the Kingdom to adopt the legal regulations to protect expatriate workers and the necessity of their consistency with international treaties and agreements.

He briefed the ambassador on the latest developments in the labour market reform project and the executive steps taken to implement it, reviewing a set of projects and initiatives taken by the authority in the framework of preserving labour rights.

The ambassador praised Bahrain’s efforts to take care of Filipino workers, stressing that they enjoy their full rights and the efforts are appreciated.
