Labour Minister receives new LMRA chief

Manama, Labour and Social Development Minister and Board of Directors Chairman of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), H.E Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, today received H.E Mr. Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi, marking the issuance of a Royal Decree appointing him as a Chief Executive Officer of LMRA.

The minister expressed sincere congratulations to Al-Alawi for the precious royal trust bestowed upon him, noting that he is among the experienced and well-qualified national competencies of whom the kingdom is proud, and wishing him every success in carrying out his duties.

Humaidan highlighted LMRA’s work plan and priorities aimed at enhancing the stability and balance of the labour market, as well as creating flexible solutions that would strengthen the market’s competitiveness and ability to adapt to the fluctuations and developments.

He pointed out that LMRA should build on its landmark achievements over the past years in order to achieve the government’s vision of citizen-centred, balanced and stable labour market.

Humaidan stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and complementarity between the Labour and Social Development Ministry and LMRA, as well as other partners from Team Bahrain at various government departments.

He also stressed the need to support the existing partnership, consultation and cooperation with the production parties and their representatives, which, he said, has been LMRA’s method since its establishment.

Al Alawi expressed pride in the precious royal trust conferred on him through his appointment as LMRA’s CEO. He also expressed thanks to LMRA’s board chairman, pledging to spare no effort in order to develop the labour market in a way that would reflect positively on the national economy.
