Labour Minister stresses keenness to integrate citizens in private sector

Manama, Jan. 9 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister and the Board of Directors Chairman of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, has stressed the importance of the projects implemented by the Ministry, including the programmes to rehabilitate job seekers, and integrating them in the private sector.

While meeting the Second Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ali Ahmed Zayed, Humaidan reviewed the Labour Ministry’s efforts and the services delivered by its affiliate social care centres across the kingdom to various social segments, including the elderly, people with special needs and productive families, among others.

He underlined the importance of the role played by the Representatives Council in supporting legislation, proposals and initiatives aimed at developing effective labour and social services in order to provide more care for the relevant social groups, affirming the Labour Ministry’s keenness to meet the citizens’ development needs, in line with the government’s directives.

The second deputy speaker commended the efforts being exerted by the Labour and Social Development Ministry to implement the government’s policies aimed at ensuring decent living for the citizens through providing them with the best services.

He highlighted the importance of Legislature-Executive cooperation to ensure the delivery of the best services for the citizens, including the provision of quality job opportunities and enhancing social protection for all social segments.
