In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to support the private sector as the main engine of growth, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has announced the termination of monthly work fees and fees for issuing and renewing work permits for a period of three months, starting from 1 April 2020. The move follows the government’s recent announcement of a comprehensive economic stimulus package to support the economy during the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The LMRA highlighted its continued support for national efforts to counter the effects of the global spread of COVID-19, underlining its commitment to assisting the Kingdom’s small and medium sized enterprises.
