LMRA chief receives US State Department official

Chief Executive Officer of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons (NCCTIP), Ausamah bin Abdulla Al-Absi, has received here, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Arabian Gulf Affairs in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the United States Department of State, Mr. Timothy A. Lenderking, who is visiting Bahrain on the sidelines of the 15th IISS Manama Dialogue.

The meeting focused on the labour market’s reforms, and the kingdom’s efforts in combating trafficking in persons, as well as Bahrain’s regional status and role in this regard.

Al-Absi highlighted the results of the Government Forum to Combat Trafficking in Persons in the Middle East, held in Bahrain last October, in addition to the kingdom’s initiative to set up a regional think-tank in the field of combating trafficking in persons, in cooperation with UN agencies.
