President of Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) also Chairman of the National Anti-Human Trafficking Committee (NAHTC), Ausamah Al-Absi, today received a high-level Thai delegation representing ministries and government and private organizations concerned with human trafficking issues.

LMRA President gave a presentation on the Committee’s efforts in addressing irregular employment and the fight against human trafficking, as well as health, psychological and legal services provided by LMRA to the victims.

He stressed Bahrain’s keenness to benefit from international expertise to implement its commitment to international conventions on the protection of labour from human trafficking operations and human rights abuses.

The Thai delegation hailed Bahrain’s efforts in combating human trafficking and protecting expat labour, lauding the laws and regulations in force in this regard.
