LMRA CEO Receives a Delegation from the American Embassy

LMRA chief Executive Mr. Ausamah Bin Abdulla Alabsi received Deputy Public Affairs Officer – Embassy of the United States of America Michele A.Kimple Guzman, accompanied by Political officer Caryl Tuma on Wednesday morning 24th September 2014.

The meeting addressed the ways of research collaboration in the field of training LMRA administrative employees on the concepts and methods of combating human trafficking crimes, and giving them the skills to detect and track these crimes, and qualifying them as experts in this area through specialized advanced courses.

LMRA CEO briefed the visiting American delegation the latest developments in aspects of the labour market reform project and the executive steps taken to implement the project, He addressed LMRA efforts to address the phenomenon of illegal expatriate employees and combating trafficking in human beings, where he presented an explanation of LMRA efforts in this aspect, also reviewed the package of solutions and procedures that support efforts to tackle this crime.

The American delegation praised the efforts made by LMRA, the care given by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority for expatriate employees in the Kingdom, the the regulations and new laws adopted by LMRA, noting to LMRA efforts to protect expatriate employees and ensuring their rights. They as well praised LMRA efforts in combating the crime of human trafficking and developing ways to monitor and trace.
