LMRA-BRS cooperation discussed

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Chief Executive Officer Osama Al Absi affirmed that LMRA is coordinating with all sectors, especially the service ones, to overcome any obstacles that may face the private sector.

Al Absi confirmed that families will not notice any changes in light of LMRA’s taking over the responsibility of licensing domestic workers from the Ministry of Labour.

This came as Al Absi met here the Bahrain Recruiter’s Society (BRS)’s Board of Directors, its Chairman Fareed Al Mahmeed and a number of its members.

Al Mahmeed praised the constant cooperation between LMRA and BRS and both sides agreed to develop joint and sustainable cooperation mechanisms to face any challenges.

The meeting addressed the recruiters and workers new regulations and rights, increasing the recruiter’s options and other issues pertaining to the labour market.

BRS’s members, LMRA Vice-President for Enforcement Mohamed Musfir Al Muhanadi and the Planning and Licensing Department Manager at LMRA Hasan Al Rahma were present.
