The Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) CEO Osama Abdullah Al-Absi approved the implementation of a comprehensive survey for the automatic carwash sector in order to re-assess the sector’s needs for LMRA services to respond to latest developments in the local market.
Al-Absi urged companies to comply with applicable Bahrainization ratio and attract national workforce in consideration for fair salaries in the professions of cashiers, supervisors and drivers before the beginning of next April.
Al-Absi presided over a meeting with representatives from automatic motorcars washing racks attended by Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry representative and discussed various requirements of the sector and their need for work permits.
The meeting was attended by LMRA directors and five representatives on behalf of specialized carwash companies namely: Davis Carwash, Flash Carwash, Hudson Carwash, Lazer Carwash and Nizar Carwash.
The meeting reviewed statistics for compliance with Bahrainization ratio of 10% endorsed last year.
The meeting also agreed to hold a major seminar for the automatic carwash companies with LMRA management after finalization of the field survey in order to determine the needs of the sector whilst taking into consideration the sector’s special nature.
