Manama, July 27. (BNA) –
Labour Minister and Board Chairman of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan met here today the CEO of the Economic Development Board (EDB) and Board Chairman of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The meeting focused onthe the joint national plan launched by the Labour Ministry, LMRA and Tamkeen in order to develop the national work force through upgrading its competence and skills for the sake of improving its employability and ensuring its integration into the labour market.
The two sides agreed to hold meetings between the three parts related to the labour market for the aim of identifying common programmes so as to achieve more complementarity and discuss all obstacles facing the local market.
Minister Humaidan asserted that Labour Ministry-LMRA –Tamkeen cooperation will be a successful example of complementarity between government bodies in carrying out joint projects aiming to develop national human resources, stressing that skilled workforce will attract more investors into the kingdom.
On his part, Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa said that the joint national labour market development plan is in line with the Economic Development for Bahrain, 2030, as it creates economic development opportunities for Bahraini cadres in order to help them enter the labour market of the private sector, the most ambitious sector in developed countries, lauding the Labour Ministry’s training and employment programmes.
