LMRA offers card service for expats

Expatriates may report to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority for their CPR procedures. The Sanabis-based LMRA processes such services on working days between 2pm and 8pm.

The initiative has been co-ordinated with the General Informatics Organisation to cut waiting lists for expatriates and their families, LMRA chief executive Ali Ahmed Radhi said yesterday .

Under the new measure, expatriates would be required to report to the LMRA to submit their photos, fingerprints and e-signatures.

The data would then be referred to the GIO to issue them with their CPR cards.

Employers were also urged to notify their expatriate employees not to report to the LMRA in the morning.

The new procedures concern the 72 hour-visa visitors who were issued with work visas or expatriates who were allowed to swap employees in Bahrain.

Expatriates whose applications haven’t been processed at Bahrain Airport or King Fahad Causeway also need to report to LMRA headquarters. Expatriates may report to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority for their CPR procedures.
