LMRA offers online training to companies

PEOPLE can now receive training on the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) online services. Authorised personnel from different organisations will be trained on the web services and the Expat Management System (EMS), which has been specially developed for LMRA.

This training programme will continue for a whole year, said LMRA chief executive Ali Radhi.

The training is being subsidised by the government and human resources managers, clearing agents and authorised company representatives can attend eight-hour training sessions over two days at a fee of BD10.

LMRA customer relationship manager Amr Selim said the training programme aimed at enabling all registered human resources or personnel managers in all organisations to electronically transact with the LMRA.

This includes data cleansing, applying for new work visas, renewals and local transfers.

Mr Selim said the programme had started by training clearing agents first in co-operation with the Clearing Agents Association, as they represent several employers in Bahrain.

This first stage has a target of 300 clearing agents registered under the association.

The training includes an introduction to the authority, how applications get processed and a closer look at the LMRA law and regulations.

LMRA legal adviser Badreldin Yousif will make the main presentation, while technical advice will be delivered using IT specialist trainers from the Bahrain Institute for Technology (BIT).

The second stage of training will start in July and August and is open to any human resources manager, as well as any person registered at the LMRA as an authorised or responsible person for a certain organisation.

The LMRA and BIT will provide all successful participants with a certificate, officially certifying they are capable of using the LMRA’s different e-services.

For more information or to register, call BIT on 17241714 between 8am and 6pm, Saturdays to Thursdays.
