{"id":6978,"date":"2023-11-21T11:50:31","date_gmt":"2023-11-21T08:50:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/?p=6978"},"modified":"2023-11-22T11:52:29","modified_gmt":"2023-11-22T08:52:29","slug":"lmra-181-violators-deported-and-109-irregular-workers-detained-during-the-past-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/2023\/11\/21\/lmra-181-violators-deported-and-109-irregular-workers-detained-during-the-past-week\/","title":{"rendered":"LMRA: 181 Violators Deported, and 109 Irregular Workers Detained During the Past Week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/22.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1023\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/22.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6979\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/22.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/22-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/22-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/22-768x767.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>20 joint campaigns carried out and 863 inspection visits<br><\/strong>The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 883 inspection campaigns and visits, during the week of 12 to 18 November 2023, which resulted in the detention of 109 violating and irregular workers, while 181 violators were deported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The inspection campaigns and visits also resulted in the monitoring of a number of violations related to the provisions of a number of regulating laws, especially the Labour Market Regulatory Authority Law and the Residency Law in the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting that legal measures were taken regarding the observed violations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The authority explained that the inspection campaigns and visits were carried out on various work locations in all governorates that included 10 campaigns in the Capital Governorate; 4&nbsp; campaigns in Muharraq Governorate; 4 in campaigns in the Northern Governorate and 2 in the Southern Governorate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, (NPRA) the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence, the General Directorate for the Enforcement of Sentences, the security directorates in the governorates, as well as the Ministry of Labor (MOL), the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) and the Social Insurance Organization (SIO), participated in the campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Authority affirmed the continuation of joint coordination with government agencies to intensify inspection campaigns in all governorates of the Kingdom, and to address any violations or practices that negatively affect the stability and competitiveness of the labor market or harm economic and social security of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Labour Market Regulatory Authority renewed its call on all members of the society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labour practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority\u2019s website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lmra.gov.bh\">www.lmra.gov.bh<\/a> or by calling the authority&#8217;s call centre on 17506055 or via the government\u2019s Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>20 joint campaigns carried out and 863 inspection visitsThe Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 883 inspection campaigns and visits, during the week of 12 to 18 November 2023, which resulted in the detention of 109 violating &hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/2023\/11\/21\/lmra-181-violators-deported-and-109-irregular-workers-detained-during-the-past-week\/\">Continue reading <span class=\"meta-nav\">&rarr;<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[526,318,319,320,322,359,532,1067,1309],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.6 -
