{"id":6605,"date":"2023-08-09T09:14:16","date_gmt":"2023-08-09T06:14:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/?p=6605"},"modified":"2023-08-09T09:14:16","modified_gmt":"2023-08-09T06:14:16","slug":"labour-market-regulatory-authority-lmra-receives-thai-delegation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/2023\/08\/09\/labour-market-regulatory-authority-lmra-receives-thai-delegation\/","title":{"rendered":"<strong>Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Receives Thai Delegation<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/800.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"423\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/800.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6606\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/800.jpg 800w, https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/800-300x159.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/800-768x406.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/800-500x264.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) received a delegation from the Royal Thai Embassy, at its headquarters in Manama to learn more about Bahrain\u2019s experience and achievements in regulating the Labour Market and efforts in combatting trafficking in persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the Kingdom of Bahrain\u2019s efforts in developing a stable work environment that preserves the rights of all parties. \u200e\u200fLMRA officials highlighted the Authority\u2019s key projects and initiatives, including the recently launched Labour Registration Programme, which aims to register workers in partnership with the private sector, as well as the Optional Insurance System for Domestic Workers and the Wages Protection System.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200e\u200fThey also shed light on the objectives and key roles of the Protection and Grievances Centre, the first comprehensive and specialised facility of its kind in the Middle East region that provides counseling, legal services, as well as shelter for victims and potential victims of crimes of trafficking in persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200e\u200fThe delegation was also briefed on the role of the Regional Centre of Excellence and Capacity Building for Combatting Trafficking in Persons in offering a solid base of trainers who are regionally recognised in the field of combatting trafficking in persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The delegation which included the Minister Counsellor for Labour Mr. Tanit Loipimai and Labour Counsellor from the Labour Affairs office in Riyadh Mr. Chattai Tiamsanit as well as representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy in Bahrain. The delegation thanked the LMRA for their hospitality and recognized the efforts exerted to regulate and organize the Labour Market as well as noting Bahrain\u2019s success in combatting Trafficking in persons.
