He added it also demonstrates the extent to which the culture of combating trafficking in persons has become entrenched in the state\u2019s infrastructure as an integral part of the work environment in the Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Al Absi explained that the establishment of a prosecution specialised in combating trafficking in persons would contribute to boosting the efforts to combat this crime by giving a solid legal impetus to investigate cases in accordance with law 1\/2008 on combating trafficking in persons and related laws. He added the move will also accelerate the process of redress for the victims and granting them their rights after punishing the perpetrators.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons affirmed that the decision proves anew the kingdom\u2019s ongoing efforts to improve the work environment and combat human trafficking, be it at the local or international level.
