{"id":3737,"date":"2019-04-16T09:23:10","date_gmt":"2019-04-16T06:23:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/?p=3737"},"modified":"2019-04-16T09:23:10","modified_gmt":"2019-04-16T06:23:10","slug":"bahrains-human-rights-strides-highlighted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/2019\/04\/16\/bahrains-human-rights-strides-highlighted\/","title":{"rendered":"Bahrain\u2019s human rights strides highlighted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/IMG_20190415_170744-01.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3738\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/IMG_20190415_170744-01.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/IMG_20190415_170744-01.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/IMG_20190415_170744-01-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/IMG_20190415_170744-01-450x300.jpeg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The British Minister of State for the Commonwealth and the UN and the Prime Minister\u2019s Special Envoy on Freedom of Religion or Belief, Lord Tariq Ahmed of Wimbledon, received in his office today the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, as well as the Chief Executive Officer of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, Ausamah Abdullah Al-Absi. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Lord Ahmed hailed the achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of combating trafficking in persons and for reaching Tier 1 in the United States Department of State Trafficking in Persons Report in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>He also praised Al-Absi for being honored as one of ten outstanding individuals by the US Department of State for his efforts in combating human trafficking. Lord Ahmed also thanked the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain, namely the Ambassador, for cooperating to help coordinate such visits that reflect the Kingdom\u2019s efforts in the field of combating human trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain promotes the concept of human rights through several procedures and legislation that aim at ensuring human rights protection and development.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the Kingdom of Bahrain has established instuitions and committees that monitor and protect the implementation of these legislations.
