{"id":3482,"date":"2017-08-22T08:48:11","date_gmt":"2017-08-22T05:48:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/?p=3482"},"modified":"2017-08-22T08:48:11","modified_gmt":"2017-08-22T05:48:11","slug":"lmra-receives-mfa-delegation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/2017\/08\/22\/lmra-receives-mfa-delegation\/","title":{"rendered":"LMRA receives MFA delegation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/08\/IMG_4783-01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3483\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/08\/IMG_4783-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"641\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/08\/IMG_4783-01.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/08\/IMG_4783-01-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/08\/IMG_4783-01-479x300.jpg 479w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ausamah bin Abdullah Al Absi, the Chief Executive of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Anti-Trafficking in Persons Committee has received a delegation from the Migrants Forum in Asia (MFA) headed by the forum&#8217;s Regional Coordinator William Gois.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Al Absi reviewed Bahrain&#8217;s efforts in advancement of the labour market in harmony with the kingdom&#8217;s policies that ensure the protection of expatriate workers, including the establishment of the all-in-one Protection &amp; Support Centre for Expatriate Workers that provides comprehensive protective and guidance services to expatriate workers and accommodates victims or persons vulnerable to human trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>He also briefed the visiting delegation about the (Flexible Permit) that allows the adjustment of illegal workers status in accordance with the applicable regulations.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation paid a field tour to the Accommodation Centre for Expatriate Workers, and were briefed about cases of suspected human trafficking victims and how they are dealt with.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation also visited the LMRA&#8217;s branch in Sitra where the Flexible Work Permits (FWPs) are issued.
