{"id":3119,"date":"2015-11-01T12:09:11","date_gmt":"2015-11-01T09:09:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/?p=3119"},"modified":"2015-11-01T12:09:11","modified_gmt":"2015-11-01T09:09:11","slug":"ways-to-fight-human-trafficking-discussed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/2015\/11\/01\/ways-to-fight-human-trafficking-discussed\/","title":{"rendered":"Ways to fight human trafficking discussed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/11\/resized.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3120\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/11\/resized.jpg\" alt=\"resized\" width=\"1024\" height=\"487\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/11\/resized.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/11\/resized-300x143.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/11\/resized-500x238.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking held its fifth meeting at their headquarters of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) last Wednesday.<br \/>\nLabour Market Regulatory Authority CEO and Chairman of the National Anti-Human Trafficking Committee, Ausamah bin Abdullah Al Absi briefed the members about the latest development related to the processing of a new shelter for victims of trafficking which is expected to be opened soon.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">He pointed out that the centre supervised by the LMRA will provide psychological, legal, social, health and security services to become a one stop to deal with trafficking.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">He pointed out that centre will have the cooperation of the Interior Ministry, Health Ministry, Social Development Ministry, and Labour Ministry with the LMRA as well as the Worker\u2019s Protection Society.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Al Absi revealed that the centre would be able to occupy 108 people with the capacity of upgrading when necessary by 50pc, despite the victims in Bahrain not reaching half the number.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">He also briefed the members on the training programmes initiated in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Plan (UNODC).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking held its fifth meeting at their headquarters of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) last Wednesday.
