His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has ratified and issued Law 18\/2015 amending Article (6) of Law 19\/2006 with regard to the regulation of the labour market.
\nUnder the amendment, Article (A) of Law 19\/2006 will be as follows:<\/p>\n

The Authority will have a board of directors comprising nine members, including the chairman, appointed as per a decree.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Four members nominated by the Prime Minister.<\/li>\n
  2. One member nominated by the Economic Development Board.<\/li>\n
  3. Two members selected among candidates nominated by the Bahrain Chamber of commerce and Industry.<\/li>\n
  4. Two members selected among candidates nominated by the trade unions of Bahraini workers, provided that they are Bahrainis who pay their contributions in accordance with the provisions of the Social Insurance Law issued by Decree-Law 24\/1976.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The list of nominees mentioned in items (3) and (4) shall be submitted to the Cabinet which will choose the representative of each party.<\/p>\n
