{"id":1335,"date":"2012-03-14T12:14:35","date_gmt":"2012-03-14T09:14:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/?p=1335"},"modified":"2012-03-14T12:14:35","modified_gmt":"2012-03-14T09:14:35","slug":"mp-slams-csb-for-delays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lmra.gov.bh\/en\/2012\/03\/14\/mp-slams-csb-for-delays\/","title":{"rendered":"MP slams CSB for delays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A parliamentarian yesterday slammed the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) in the country as an \u2018obstacle in the way\u2019 of implementing regulations.<br \/>\nMP Khalid Abdullaal said that the CSB is wasting time and money through delays.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The MP told DT, subsequent to his discussions with Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Osama Al Absi regarding matters related to restructuring of policies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. Absi explained to me his situation, which highlighted that the LMRA has too many managers and less staff,\u201d said Mr. Abdullaal.<br \/>\nThe recent law adopted in the parliament has assigned CSB the power to approve any appointments, terminations or promotions.<\/p>\n<p>The MP had questioned LMRA on promoting an officer who had been allegedly accused of sexually harassing female employees in the past.<br \/>\nRegarding LMRA\u2019s legal move against the MP, he said that the case is likely to be withdrawn on a mutual consent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, I do not retrace myself as I stand committed to justice and rights of people,\u201d said Mr Abdullaal.<\/p>\n<p>He said he was convinced on the matter as not an issue of the management of the LMRA, who doesn\u2019t have enough power to implement decisions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A parliamentarian yesterday slammed the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) in the country as an \u2018obstacle in the way\u2019 of implementing regulations.
