The project entailed upgrading of LMRA&#8217;s existing IT infrastructure using the latest solutions from IBM.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->According to a statement, LMRA and BBM jointly selected the IBM\u00c6 BladeCenter HS22 to upgrade their overall IT infrastructure. The IBM\u00c6 BladeCenter HS22, which reduces energy consumption, will provide LMRA increased performance, flexibility and utilisation while lowering operating costs.<\/p>\n<p>LMRA Vice President-Information Technology Hussain Ahmed said: &#8220;With today\u2019s increasingly demanding work environment, we believe that our IT infrastructure will allow us to reach the level of manageability which will enhance our business needs.&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;In addition, with the latest solutions that have been jointly selected by us and GBM,\u00a0 the project will not only augment our IT infrastructure but will also reduce costs and enable us to meet our IT objectives.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>LMRA&#8217;s storage management was also upgraded using the IBM System Storage\u00c6 SAN Volume Controller (SVC) which offers simpler and more productive and centralised management using a web-based storage administration through a single point of control. The SVC also provides improved storage efficiency and better utilisation of storage capacity while enabling LMRA to tap into previously unused disk capacity.
