The CEO of the Labour Market Authority (LMRA), Nouf Abdulrahman Jamsheer, met with officials and representatives from the Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit of the US Department of Justice, the Wage and Hour Division of the US Department of Labor, and the US Department of Health and Human Services, in Washington D.C.
She additionally met with the Middle East Institute and its representatives in a roundtable discussion on Bahrain’s efforts in Combatting Trafficking in Persons.

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) stressed its commitment to intensify inspection campaigns against violators of provisions of the Labour Market and Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in order to preserve a competitive, fair and stable labour market, and to address any illegal practices that may affect the work environment.
