LMRA Announces the Launch of Electronic Service for Domestic Employee Permits
– Services include applying for permit issuance, renewal, and termination.
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has announced the launch of electronic services for Domestic Employee permits, which gives employers the ability to complete transactions electronically through the Expatriate Management System (EMS) without the need to visit the authority, while maintaining the option to apply in person at any of its branches for those who wish to do so.

The Kingdom of Bahrain Maintains Tier-1 Status in the US Department of State’s 2024 Trafficking in Persons Report for the Seventh Consecutive Year
The US State Department’s Trafficking in Persons (TIP) report, which assesses 188 countries worldwide, has reaffirmed Bahrain’s international standing in upholding human rights and combating human trafficking. The Kingdom has maintained its Tier 1 ranking, the highest in the classification, for the seventh consecutive year.
