The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and the Social Insurance Organization (SIO) have launched an initiative that will combine efforts to focus on further developing the wage protection system and link it to the labour wages database.
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) received a delegation from the Royal Thai Embassy, at its headquarters in Manama to learn more about Bahrain’s experience and achievements in regulating the Labour Market and efforts in combatting trafficking in persons.
Jameel bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, Labour and Social Development Minister and Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA)’s Chairman of the Board of Directors chaired LMRA’s Board of Directors meeting.
During the second meeting under the chairmanship of Nouf Jamsheer.
Her Excellency Mrs. Nouf Abdul Rahman Jamsheer, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Chairman of the National Committee for Combatting Trafficking in Persons stressed the importance of reviewing and continuously developing all regulatory procedures and decisions, in line with the changes taking place in the work environment, in a way that contributes to strengthening the Kingdom’s position in providing suitable working conditions for investors, businessmen, and workers alike.
