The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has announced the soft launch of its Virtual Client Services Branch for Employers which comes as part of LMRA’s strategic plans to enhance its services by re-engineering processes and optimizing the use of technologies, in line with the government’s aspirations to accelerate digital transformation across government services.
LMRA Conducts 1,069 Inspection Campaigns and Visits During Last Week
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 1,069 inspection campaigns and visits, during the week of 10 – 16 December 2023, which resulted in the detention of 100 violating and irregular workers, while 145 violators were deported.

The Expat Protection Centre at the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted a training workshop for hotline frontliners. The workshop, held at EPC, focused on equipping personnel operating both the LMRA’s hotline (995) and the Ministry of Interior’s hotline (555) with the skills and capacity needed to identify and support victims of trafficking.
