The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Ministry of Interior (MOI) and Social Insurance Organization (SIO) continue to intensify joint efforts to address any violations or practices to preserve the components of the labour Market and ensure fairness, competitiveness, and stability.
LMRA announced the implementation of three joint inspection campaigns resulted in reporting a number of violations related to the Labour Market and Residency laws in the Kingdom, the violations were referred for legal action.
LMRA added that the first inspections campaign was took place in coordination with the Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and the Governorate’s respective Police Directorate in the Muharraq Governorate, the second campaign was undertaken with the Sentences Enforcement Directorate at Ministry of Interior in the Capital Governorate, while the third campaign conducted in coordination with the Social Insurance Organization (SIO) in the Northern Governorate.
LMRA renewed its call to all members of the society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labour practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.gov.bh or by calling the authority’s call centre on 17506055.
