The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted an inspection campaign in the Capital Governorate, in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs of the Ministry of Interior and Capital Governorate Directorate that included a number of Governorate work sites.
The campaign resulted in the arrest of a number of violations related to the provisions of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority Law and the Residence Law in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and arrest of a number of workers violating regulations and laws, as legal actions were taken toward them.
The authority pointed out that this campaign comes as a continuation of the intensive efforts made by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and relevant government entities to develop the work environment and address all practices that would affect the competitiveness, justice and flexibility of the labour market, in addition to their negative effects on social security.
The authority stresses the importance of the society’s role in supporting the efforts of government entities that seek to maintain the society security, social, health and economic stability, calling on the public to report any complaints related to labour market and illegal expatriate workers.
