Chief Executive of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Head of the National Anti-Human Trafficking Committee Ausamah bin Abdullah Al Absi, held an emergency meeting to discuss the procedures carried out by the authority to prevent the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19).
This came in implementation of the Cabinet directives to enhance governmental measures to preserve the health and safety of citizens and residents, and within the framework of the national campaign to combat Covid-19.
Necessary action has been taken by sending educational short text messages to all migrant workers in the commercial and domestic sector in several languages, on the need to conduct a medical examination of employment immediately within the integrated efforts of the national campaign to combat coronavirus (Covid-19).
Al Absi stressed the importance of carrying a mandatory medical examination of domestic workers.
He confirmed that the authority places all its capabilities and channels of communication with the expatriate labor communities at the disposal of the concerned authorities and those in charge of the national campaign to combat Covid-19 to raise awareness and combat this virus.
